My name is Cristie Ritz King and The Traveling Circus is the personal blog I started to write about my family and our appearance on HGTV's Real Estate Intervention. Our brush with TV fame coincided with an out of state move so I needed a way to keep everyone in our large extended family connected. What started out as daily stories  has morphed into a place where people come to hear about everything from raising kids while trying to keep my sanity to music, fashion, news, pop culture and all the television I watch to escape reality.

I am married to a fantastic man that I call The Husband. He is a phenomenal man and father who spends much of his time commuting back and forth to NYC. That leaves me mostly alone with three children ages 7 (The Girl), 5 (The Middle One) and 3 (The Baby) that keep me busy and provide much blog fodder. As a working mom I am busy but grateful for all that keeps me so. I love writing, cooking, photography, reading and exercising and it is a daily juggle to do any of these well. I work with jewelry and accessories and am slightly obsessed with fashion even if sometimes my outfit is entirely from Target. My kids are active and engaged with everything from sports and dance to art and theater. We are fortunate to live near NYC and try to take advantage of what it has to offer. We also live near and love the beach and all things related. I am proud to raise beach bums!

As a Blogger I am part of the Silicon Valley Moms Group and founder of The Jersey Moms Blog. I have had my work chosen for syndication in The McClatchy Company publications and I am part of the Yahoo! Mother Board. In 2010 I was featured as part of Yahoo's You Reinvented feature on their Shine page. I can be found discussing how I took my family from unconscious spenders to fully engaged money managers. I enjoy sharing my story with others as a way to encourage everyone to take control of their lives-be it financial, fitness or other wise.

I am happy to read relevant, personal email pitches regarding products and services that relate to my general interests.  I do not care to receive unsolicited press releases, “story ideas,” or suggestions for information or products to promote without the opportunity to experience them personally.

MOM BLOGGER EVENTS:
I always enjoy participating in “mom blogger summits” where I can learn more about companies and  consult on how to bring their products to moms through the blogging community.  I have met with companies in New York City and will travel to Yahoo! headquarters in California  for such an event. If you are hosting a mom blogger event, I am available for attendance and also consulting.
